Tel Parrett knew at age seven that he wanted to be a trial attorney and fight for his clients. Solving problems and finding solutions to complex issues is where he excels. Tel attended Johnson County Community College and Washburn University. He will tell you that he majored in “getting into law school” but the parchment on the wall says Bachelor of Integrated Studies. He graduated from Washburn University School of Law in December of 2007.
His legal career began at the Sedgwick County Public Defenders Office where he cut his teeth on hundreds of felony cases and numerous jury trials. In 2011 after 3 years of quality representation in Sedgwick County, Tel served the citizens of Johnson County as an assistant public defender until February of 2014 when he opened his own law practice and has been serving the legal needs of his clients since.
The commitment to communication with his clients as well as zealous advocacy are what separate Tel from his peers in the legal community. For every case, Tel works with his clients to understand their goals and unique perspectives and then develop a plan to try and accomplish those goals. Tel will communicate the risks and benefits of many courses of action and then will work diligently to execute the chosen plan in order to achieve the objectives of his clients.
